Applying the Edges in Ulead Media Studio Pro

The Simple Way

1. Open the a video clip onto track Va.

2. Open one of the edge files from the edges sub folder on track V1 by right clicking on it and choosing Image File... from the context menu.

3. Select the edge clip by pressing clicking on it. Then press <Ctl + R> or select Overlay Options from the Clip menu.

4. In the Overlay Options dialog choose Multiply as Type and move the Blend/Opacity slider to 100%. (But you could also choose Gray Key as Type instead.) If it should be necessary, you can also choose Medium from the Soft edge combo box.

5. Now just press OK and preview the effect:

The Advanced Way

1. Open the a video clip onto track Va.

2. Open another video clip on track V1.

3. Select the clip on track V1 by clicking on it. Then press <Ctl + R> or select Overlay Options from the Clip menu.

4. In the Overlay Options dialog choose Gray Key as Type. When selecting Image Matte as Mask, a file dialog will pop up. Select an edge from the edges sub folder in this file dialog.

5. If you like, you can additionally choose Medium from the Soft edge combo box.

6. Now just press OK and preview the effect:
